What is Tithing?

A tithe—which just means “tenth”—is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income that is to be given back to the local church. Tithing is a principle that is taught throughout the entire Bible. When we tithe, we are expressing worship in a tangible way by putting God first in our lives.

Bringing our tithes is an opportunity for us to give God our thanks, show God we trust Him, and fight against greed in our hearts...all while allowing us to be a part of the most important work in life that is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Why Would I Tithe?

For many, the idea of bringing the first 10% of our income to the Church seems overwhelming. The thing is, it doesn’t matter how much or how little we make, God promises to pour out blessings on us when we tithe. Tithing is about training our heart to trust God at His Word.

We know generosity is a huge step of obedience, but you’re not in this alone! We want to know you’re taking your next step in generosity by bringing your full tithe to the church with The 90–Day Tithing Challenge.

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this...and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Malachai 3:10

The Bible says we can take the promises of God to the bank. When we bring our first and best back to God, He promises to bless the rest. We can’t outgive God.

We commit to you that if you tithe for three months and God doesn’t hold true to His promises of blessings, we will refund 100% of your tithe. No questions asked.

What is the Tithe Challenge?

Your Part:
Signing "The Tithing Challenge" means that you are committing to tithe 10% of your income for the next 90 days to Wyandotte Family. Eac time you receive money (paycheck, gifts, etc.)

Be sure to place it in an envelope or marke tithe on-line. By doing this you are choosing to obey God’s word and trust that as you put Him first, He will meet your needs!

Our Part: If at the end of 90 days, you feel your decision to take this next step was a mistake, or that it created a financial crisis, we will give you your money back. Simply come to us privately and we will refund the 90 days of tithe.
